All fonts for text should be some version of Times New Roman. Text should be 10 pt., the title should be 18 pt., and the affiliation and references should be 8 pt. Do not use hyphenations for the end of a line.
However, its still recommended to use sans serif fonts for your headlines, subheadings, etc. Use at least a 12 or 14-point font. The larger your font size, the easier your content is to read. For this particular paper, we have chosen a 14- point font.
The font size must be either 11 point or 12 point size. Similarly, one size must be used for your body text. However, you may have a smaller font size (no smaller than 8 point size) for the title and descriptions of tables, figures, and other inserted items in your document.
One display typeface for headlines, sub heads and other large copy is often enough. Size and color are the tools to use to create levels of importance. If you want to use more than one typeface for display use, its best to choose both designs from the same family a bold and bold condensed design, for instance.
The simplest way to add headings is to use heading styles. Select the text you want to use as a heading. On the Home tab, click the heading style you want to use. If you dont see the style you want, click a left, right, or down arrow to see more available styles.
Font size. It is best practice to type word documents in font size 14, and no smaller than font size 12, to assist readers with visual impairments. Remember that no one font size will suit everyone.
On the Home Ribbon, in the Styles Group, right-click on the Heading 1 style and select Modify. In the Modify Style dialog box (see picture above), in the Formatting: section, Set the font to Times New Roman. Set the font size to 12 point.
