Unlike gridlines, which are stationary, drawing guides can be moved around to help you arrange objects on a slide. Select the Guides check box on the View tab to turn them on. Click and drag the guides to position them on the slide. Click and drag an object, using the guides to position it correctly.
You can use the Use Smart Lookup feature in Word to search the Internet for specific words or phrases. If you highlight a word or phrase and then right-click it, you will see an option to use Smart Lookup. This feature serves as a shortcut to browse the Internet without opening a separate browser window.

To move a guide in PowerPoint, click and hold it. The mouse cursor will change to the standard movement icon. Then use your left mouse button to move the guide where you need it.
The second option for the Alignment Tool is Align to Slide. When this option is selected, the top, bottom, left and right sides of your slide are used as the anchors that all your selected objects align themselves to.
When you select a word or phrase, right-click it, and then choose Smart Lookup. The Smart Lookup results pane provides definitions, topics, Wikipedia articles, and top related searches from the web. You can also get to Smart Lookup any time by going to References Research Smart Lookup.
Smart Guides are on by default. To turn Smart Guides on or off, choose View Smart Guides. Use Smart Guides in the following ways: When you create an object with the pen or shape tools, use the Smart Guides to position a new objects anchor points relative to an existing object.
