Polaroid 600 cameras are powered by the batteries within each film pack, which means the flash will not work unless its loaded with film. Hold the front trigger button down only halfway to begin manually charging your cameras flash.
The important difference between 600 and i-Type film is the absence of a battery inside the film cartridge. This means that i-Type film will not work with vintage Polaroid cameras. New Polaroid cameras have a built-in rechargeable battery, so they dont need a battery to power the camera.
This color i-Type film is compatible with the Polaroid Now, Polaroid Now+, the Polaroid Lab and more*. Its battery-free so it wont work for vintage cameras, but it will work for your budget.
NEW FILM FORMAT: The Polaroid Go only uses Polaroid Go format films. The same Polaroid you know and love, only smaller.

The camera wont produce an image if the flash is not completely charged. If the red light on the viewfinder is off and it is still not producing a flash then it is likely that the battery that is inside the film pack is dead. In this case you will need to replace the film pack.
The short answer is no! The I-Type instant films, such as the Polaroid Color Film for i-Type, cannot be used in the old Polaroid 600 or SX-70 cameras.
